This is an English translation of our German Datenschutzerklärung.

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. All files, including fonts, come from bayeset.com, and your browser loads nothing from other websites. If you send the valuation form on bayeset.com/value, your answers go to our form service, Forminit (section 4).

2. Hosting

This website is hosted by Render Services, Inc., San Francisco, USA. Render processes requests to the website on our behalf under its Data Processing Addendum. Render also processes usage and security information under its own responsibility, as described in its privacy policy. Render delivers the website through the network of its service provider Cloudflare, Inc., USA, which processes the same connection data.

When you visit the website, technically necessary data is processed, in particular your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, and your browser type and operating system. How long Render and Cloudflare keep these logs depends on their terms. We do not store or analyse them ourselves. The processing serves the secure and stable operation of the website; this is our legitimate interest. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Render and its providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Render's data processing terms provide for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where it applies and otherwise for the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). On request, we inform you about these safeguards.

3. Contact by email or phone

If you email us, we process your details to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR otherwise, based on our legitimate interest in answering requests. We delete the data when it is no longer needed and no legal retention period applies.

If you call us, we process your phone number and, if we take notes, the content of the call. The same rules apply as for email.

Our mailbox contact@bayeset.com uses Google Workspace, provided for customers in Germany by Google Cloud EMEA Limited, 70 Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland. Google processes email content, attachments and contact details for us under its Cloud Data Processing Addendum.

Google and its subprocessors may process email data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. For transfers to Google LLC, Google states that it relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (transfer notice); for other transfers its terms provide standard contractual clauses. On request, we inform you about these safeguards.

4. Valuation form

On bayeset.com/value you can send us a few details about your company through a form. The page loads nothing from Forminit. Only when you send the form does your browser transmit your answers, together with technically necessary data such as your IP address, to our form service Forminit, operated by UXPLUS LTD, 86–90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom. Forminit processes the answers on our behalf as our processor (Art. 28 GDPR): it checks them for spam, stores them on servers in Ireland and notifies our mailbox by email (section 3). Forminit lists the service providers it uses on its GDPR page. The European Commission has decided that the United Kingdom ensures an adequate level of data protection (Art. 45 GDPR). The legal basis for the spam check and for technically necessary data such as your IP address is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in receiving only genuine requests.

We use your answers only to assess your records and to contact you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your answers serve steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR otherwise, based on our legitimate interest in answering requests. We delete them as we do other enquiries: when they are no longer needed and no legal retention period applies.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to

  • access the data we hold about you (Art. 15),
  • rectification (Art. 16) and erasure (Art. 17),
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18),
  • data portability (Art. 20).

Right to object: Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@bayeset.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example the authority responsible for us: Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

6. Data from company records

Before we take on data from company records, we will add here:

  • which kinds of data we process, for what purpose and on what legal basis,
  • to which kinds of recipients we pass on datasets with names replaced by codes, including outside the European Economic Area,
  • how long we keep raw data and the code key,
  • how you can exercise your rights, including your right to object.

You can ask us questions at contact@bayeset.com.
